RACING //

  • Each grand prix is a two-day event made up of six to eight total races that are 10-15 minutes in length. The first five to seven races at each event include all of the teams, before the winner is determined in a final podium race between the top three performing teams.
  • Depending on the weather and wind conditions, SailGP will endeavor to run FOUR races on a given day – in the case of Saint-Tropez four full fleet races on Friday, and / or three full-fleet races on Saturday, followed by a winner-takes-all Final. The final race of the event will always be the podium race between top three performing teams.
  • US $800K is available for the top-three teams at the ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix – $400K for first, $240K for second, and $160K for third – laddering up to the total US $12.8M prize purse across the season.
