The fast approaching 2025 Season is set to be SailGP’s most expansive yet, with new teams and new events taking place across five continents.

Unfolding over a 12 month period, the 2025 Season will start and finish in the United Arab Emirates, with the season opener taking place in Dubai. The Emirates Dubai Sail Grand Prix presented by P&O Marinas will mark the league’s third visit to the iconic Emirati city, taking place on November 23/24.

From there, the league will head to the Southern Hemisphere for back-to back events. First, the ITM New Zealand Sail Grand Prix, SailGP’s long-awaited Auckland debut, will take place on January 18-19, 2025 before the league heads to Sydney for the fan-favorite KPMG Australia Sail Grand Prix unfolding on Sydney Harbor on February 8/9.

Season 4 // New Zealand, Australia and Spain in San Francisco Grand Final

After Sydney, it’ll be time for a United States double header across consecutive weekends, with SailGP arriving in Los Angeles for a weekend of high-octane entertainment and Hollywood glamour on March 15/16. Just one week later, the league returns to San Francisco Bay - one of the most dynamic racecourses on the calendar - for the San Francisco Sail Grand Prix on March 22/23.

SailGP will head to South America for the first time next season, racing on the iconic waters of Rio de Janeiro’s Guanabara Bay. The Enel Rio Sail Grand Prix will take place on May 3/4 and see the 12-strong F50 fleet race in front of the iconic Rio skyline and Sugarloaf Mountain.

The summer season kicks off with SailGP’s return to the United States for the Mubadala New York Sail Grand Prix on June 7/8 where the fleet will race against one of the most spectacular backdrops on the 2025 Season calendar.

Then it's time to head to Europe, first for a return to the United Kingdom - the home event of Emirates GBR. The Great Britain Sail Grand Prix will take place on July 19/20, with the location soon to be announced.

In August, the league will stage its first event in Germany, with Erik Heil’s home team leading the charge when SailGP arrives in Sassnitz on August 16/17.

From here, SailGP travels to Italy, returning to the fan-favorite location of Taranto for the ROCKWOOL Italy Sail Grand Prix on September 6/7. September also marks SailGP’s first ever visit to Switzerland for the only freshwater event on the calendar. Lake Geneva will host the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix on September 20/21, with SailGP’s spectacular racing framed by the dramatic backdrop of the Swiss Alps.

In October, the league moves to Spain for its fourth visit to the historic city of Cádiz. The Spain Sail Grand Prix | Andalucía-Cádiz will see packed crowds cheer on Diego Botin’s home team - and defending season champions - as they go head to head for glory.

From here, the league returns to the Middle East for an as-yet unannounced event on November 7/8, before the season-deciding showdown gets underway in Abu Dhabi for the Mubadala Abu Dhabi SailGP 2025 Season Grand Final.
