SailGP, the global racing championship that’s redefining sailing, launched a new mixed reality app today - 'SailGP RaceScape XR' - ahead of the Germany Sail Grand Prix hitting the Sassnitz shores this weekend (August 16-17).

A first-of-its-kind XR experience in sail racing, the RaceScape XR app allows fans around the world to get closer to the action than ever before. Designed for Apple Vision Pro, the app will be available via Apple’s Vision Pro store, bringing global fans a front-row seat to every event of the Rolex SailGP Championship.

The cutting-edge technology provides fans with:

  • Multi-Screen Viewing: A World Feed, UmpApp, and team onboard videos in the palm of your hand, with live race data and leaderboards showcasing live results
  • AR Tabletop Racing: Real-time boat positioning and tactical data, alongside ghost boat competitors put the viewer right in the virtual race-course
  • Team Selection: Instantly switch between on board video in the each of the boats in the F50 fleet
  • Live Data Integration: Access real-time and historical race metrics for full replay of all the event action

RaceScape has been built on SailGP’s industry-leading production technology - LiveLine.
