With the Canada Sail Grand Prix | Halifax just around the corner, SailGP fans have a brand-new collectible to get their hands on.
SailGP and Official Craft Beer Partner Propeller Brewing Company have unveiled the limited-edition SailGP Wind Shift beer can, created exclusively to celebrate the championship's return to Halifax Harbour on June 20-21.
Inspired by the wind, water and energy that define both SailGP racing and life on Nova Scotia's coastline, the custom design blends the championship's high-speed racing aesthetic with local maritime influences. The result is a striking keepsake that captures the spirit of one of the most distinctive stops on the Rolex SailGP Championship calendar.
Fans will be able to find the SailGP Wind Shift can throughout race weekend, including in the Race Stadium, on George's Island and across hospitality and grandstand areas.
SailGP Chief Revenue Officer Ben Johnson said the collaboration was all about creating a deeper connection between the event and the local community.
"Halifax has quickly become one of the most passionate and distinctive stops on the SailGP calendar, and we're always looking for new ways to connect the excitement of our racing with local fans," he said.
"The limited-edition SailGP Wind Shift can brings together the energy of SailGP, the creativity of Propeller Brewing and the maritime spirit that makes Nova Scotia so special."
The artwork was designed by Propeller Brewing graphic designer Angel Demeester, who set out to capture the movement and unpredictability that make SailGP racing so compelling.
"The idea behind Wind Shift was to translate the excitement of SailGP into something you could hold in your hand," Demeester said.
"We wanted to convey speed, motion and the ever-changing conditions that make both sailing and life on the East Coast so unique."
The special-edition release forms part of Propeller Brewing's partnership as the Official Craft Beer of the Canada Sail Grand Prix. Alongside the collectible can, fans will be able to enjoy a range of Propeller's craft beers, ready-to-drink cocktails and all-natural sodas across the venue.
The Canada Sail Grand Prix will mark SailGP's second visit to Halifax, with the city's spectacular harbour once again set to provide the backdrop for world-class racing, waterfront celebrations and unforgettable fan experiences.
