In a miraculous display of willpower and recovery, the inaugural Germany Sail Grand Prix was won by France - just days after their participation in the event itself was cast into doubt due to a practice racing capsize.
The French suffered major F50 damage during Friday's practice session, and were only confirmed to be racing shortly before the action commenced on Race Day 1.
Nonetheless, Quentin Delapierre's team performed strongly across the weekend to qualify for the winner-takes-all Final - before beating BONDS Flying Roos and Emirates GBR to claim their first event win of the season.
